Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fans planning on making the pilgrimage to Cowboy Stadium for their upcoming boxing match just received some good news.

According to an email sent by representatives of Gametime, described as “the leading app/site for last minute tickets,” prices for the July 20th showcase have dropped drastically since the unlikely pair began their promotional tour earlier this week.

“Currently, the lowest-priced seats on Gametime are $129 each (including all taxes and fees), down from $575 last week. Top priced seats have dropped to $5,522, down from over $8,000 each last week,” the message stated.

It is important to note that tickets are officially on sale as of today, May 16.

While the figures shared by Gametime are significantly lower than what was previously reported, it may not necessarily spell doom for the event.

In a statement to USA Today-Sports, officials connected to the fight said that prices quoted on online services, such as Gametime competitor StubHub, before the on-sale date were due to “tickets are distributed across venues, sponsors, key players and individuals involved with the event, who know they have tickets and can’t always use them.”

“It’s important to note there is no incentive for a seller to post a ticket on StubHub they can’t deliver. As part of our seller policies, we prohibit sellers from listing a ticket they can’t provide,” the statement read.

Mike Tyson, who will be 58 years old when he makes the walk to the ring, and 27-year-old social media influencer turned pro-boxer Jake Paul began the media duties for the event on Monday with a press conference at NYC’s Apollo Theater. A second stop is scheduled for Thursday in Arlington, Texas

On the undercard Super lightweight champion Katy Taylor will defend her title in a rematch against Amanda Serrano. Former UFC title challenger Darren Till will also make his professional boxing debut against former WBC middleweight champ Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.

The event will take place on July 20th at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, TX and air live on Netflix.
